Hoot!

What a hoot it was to see two owls in the same area as the lemurs. I love owls. They are really really beautiful birds. Taken with Nikon D90 and 70-300mm VR.

Yes I agree, they are beutiful birds. We have them here and it's really something if you're lucky enough to see on in flight. This here is a beautiful crisp shot and I like the isolation from the background. By the way, I'm curious what is the cause of this horizontal banding in the blurred background ?

@Roman: That would be the post processing. A mixture of actions and Lucis brought out the banding.

Awesome - love the patterns on the birds. It took me a minute to see that there were 2 birds there. Nice angle to shoot from.
