Leaving them behind...

A monk leaving the crowd behind at Pura Tanah Lot. I was shooting this from the hip so I guess I was lucky enough to get it almost nicely composed. Taken with Nikon D90 and 35mm.

@dobbino: I would say little since I used preset actions, just one click of a button away. Some of the previous ones were HDR so that required slightly more post processing.

cool shot, nicholas. love the post-processing here. do you apply any special "curve" to your images, or do you just tinker until it feels right? the contrast here works real well.....

@paulski: Most of the time I tinker, for this shot, it was the use of an action, Kubota's Punch Drunk. Then I tweak the contrast a lil more, and I believe I applied a minor amount of Lucis on this as well.

great work! nice "snap" shot if i can call it by that name - the monk in his orange clothes stands out very well and i like the shallow DOF to blur out the background - very interesting photo!

I think the composition is great! Maybe just crop off the very top to make the distracting people go away - I love the reflection of the monk in the puddle.
